Lagos—PAN-YORUBA socio-cultural organization, Afenifere has dismissed insinuations that the group is used to canvass support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 presidential elections in the South west region.
In a chat with Vanguard yesterday, national publicity secretary of Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin said there was no iota of truth in such insinuation, but challenged those making the allegation to come out with facts to back up their claim.
Odumakin said: “What gave that impression? What bad thing did he do that we supported? So, reconstructing the Lagos-Ibadan expressway is a bad thing? Is holding a national conference a bad thing? What is the bad thing that Jonathan has done that we supported? We have supported him on the national conference, we have commended him on the Lagos-Ibadan road where many people have been killed over the years.”
