2019: I Have What It Takes To Reshape Nigeria, Says Duke


Former governor of Cross-River state and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential flag bearer,  Donald Duke, has disclosed that he has the required skills and necessary experiences needed to tackle the country’s systemic problems meaningfully if elected in next year’s presidential election.


Duke promised to apply short and long term solutions in fixing the nation’s problems within a short period as the president of the country. The SDP presidential candidate made the disclosure at the party’s headquarters in Abuja. Accordingly to him, revamping of the country’s economy and tackling of security challenges across the country top my priority for the country as the president.


Duke promised that his administration would give Nigerians a sense of belonging,provide clear pathway for every child to actualize his/her potentials in a globally competitive world. He also promised to give parents means to effectively employ their talents and actualize the dream of building a healthy and prosperous families.


His words: ” I will create a safe, secure and enabling environment with world class infrastructure, accessible and quality healthcare and education and build a respectable nation that will be shining example to the continent, able to hold its head high in the comity of nations.


“I will revamp the economy because  the country’s long dependence on oil accounts for widespread corruption, economic and fiscal  and the creation of a rent seeking political class.”


While maintaining that the diversification of the economy must go beyond rhetorics to actionable plans, Duke promised that his administration would give radical improvement of to all sectors of economy .
