2023: Kwankwaso Emerges NNPP Presidential Candidate

Date:

A Former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been confirmed as the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the 2023 general elections.

Kwankwaso, who is the sole presidential aspirant, emerged as the candidate of NNPP at the party’s special convention held in Abuja on Wednesday, June 8.

In his acceptance speech, Kwankwaso appreciated the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), Board of Trustees (BoT), delegates, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and the security agencies for the success of the primary election.

“Today, you have confirmed that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will be on the ballot paper in the 2023 general elections.

“Let me assure you that I will do whatever it takes from my side to ensure the success of our party in the 2023 elections,” Kwankwaso pledged.

He urged the party members to work hard to convince all Nigerians to vote for NNPP in the 2023 general elections.

In the same vein, he urged Nigerians to get their voters cards ahead of the polls.

“By the grace of God, NNPP will win the election in 2023,” he said.

The pioneer chairman of NNPP, Boniface Aniebonam, had explained that the special convention was just to confirm Kwankwaso as the party’s presidential candidate.

“He (Kwankwaso) is to be returned unopposed. Kwankwaso is a man of God. Let Nigeria start again from the beginning. Kwankwaso is coming in to bring everybody together to end all these challenges. He is going to bring Nigerians together and he is going to re unite this country,” Aniebonam said.
