“Boko Haram has common similarity with the Niger Delta militants which has also
destroyed the economy of this country on a large scale and many innocent lives
were lost.
“The late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua decided to grant them amnesty in spite
of opposition from various quarters, the moment the amnesty became a reality,
the Niger Delta militants emerged and showed interest to give up their fight
for an amicable settlement,” he said.
The emir urged the Federal Government to look into the issue with a view to
tempering justice with mercy and not to mind the few who, according to him are
making money out of the crisis.
