Operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) on Tuesday picked up embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki, weeks after being held under house arrest.
Daily Trust gathered that Dasuki was picked up this morning and taken to the Abuja head office of the Service.
A 13 man presidential committee had recently indicted the former NSA and some unnamed officials in the last administration of financial misappropriation in procurement of arms for the Nigerian military.
Recently, Dasuki denied ever receiving any formal or informal invitation to appear before an Investigative Panel on the Procurement of hardware and munitions in the armed forces.
While responding to a statement from the Presidency he said he was never been invited formally or informally to appear before the panel.
“For the record I am proud to serve my nation with the best of intention and ensuring the recovery of more than 22 local government councils from Boko Haram terrorists,” he had said.
