I’LL KEEP MUTE TILL AFTER POLLS, SAYS OBASANJO

FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday said that he would no longer comment on the polity until a winner emerges in the February 14 presidential election.
Obasanjo disclosed this in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital while speaking at a seminar organised for some Egba Traditional rulers.
The former President has of recent been making comments on the political activities in the country which many have deem controversial and against the interest of his ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)Obasanjo said he had at several fora, made his views known regarding the forthcoming polls “both in speech and in body
language in the interest of the country and that is enough for anybody to make an informed decision before going to vote.”
The former president stated that if anyone was still expecting his comments on national issues, “the person probably has not been around for sometime now”.
He explained that Nigeria is so blessed in both human and material resources that “It takes right people and political will to change things around”.
