APC’LL SALVAGE NIGERIA FROM MISRULE – ODIGIE-OYEGUN

Date:

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has said that the party will salvage Nigeria from its current challenges and provide Nigerians with a true visionary and progressive leadership.
He stated that the party was poised to rescue the country from the precipice of underdevelopment and return it to the path of greatness.
While appealing to Nigerians to support the APC in the forthcoming general elections, he commended a former Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Bukola Saraki, for his efforts in nation building.
The APC boss spoke in Ilorin on Saturday during the 50th birthday anniversary of Saraki’s wife, Toyin.
While eulogising Toyin for supporting her husband, he said Saraki took a good decision by dumping the Peoples Democratic Party for the APC.
Odige-Oyegun said, “Your husband has the singular courage from a commanding position of a party with better federal might to come down to becoming a member of the APC, that is the opposition party with a very good prospect.
“And every day he works assiduously to ensure that he will be back in power as part of a new government that will bring change, prosperity and hope to Nigerians in 2015.
“He has passion for that vision and together with those of us here who have resolved to rescue this country, because we are the greatest black nation on the face of the earth with potential for greatness.
“With the people like Bukola Saraki, the ex-chairman of the new PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje here and another courageous man such as Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the legitimate secretary of the PDP, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the PDP is a party that is fast sinking into oblivion.”
Saraki said people who wanted to aspire to elective positions in the state should have track record of service to the community.
Reacting to APC statement that there would be no automatic ticket for any aspirant, he advised the aspirants to be reasonable in their aspirations.
