senator Dino Melaye who represented Kogi West at the 8th Assembly has said the present National Working Committee, ( NWC)of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is working for the interest of the All Progressives Congress, APC, under the leadership of the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagun.
Melaye accused Damagum of attempting to destroy the former ruling party.
He said that the PDP founding fathers like Alex Ekwueme, Solomon Lar, Sunday Awoniyi, Adamu Chiroma, Tony Anenih, and Abubakar Rimi would be turning in their graves over Damagum’s leadership style.
Melaye made the remark in reaction to the just-concluded governorship election in Edo State.
Posting on X, the former lawmaker said the Edo State governorship election had shown that Damagun would destroy the party.
According to the former governorship candidate of the party in Kogi state, “With the destroyer called Damagun on the wheels, PDP is in the departure lounge waiting for the boarding pass.
“Edo experience will be a joke, there are more APC in the NWC than PDP.”
Recall that PDP’s governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo lost the Saturday’s election.
