KWANKWASO’S COMMISSIONER JOINS PDP AFTER RESIGNATION

Date:

Kano State former commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Recourses Dr. Baraka Sani who resigned last week has joined the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Daily Trust has confirmed.
The former commissioner who tendered her resignation last Wednesday has since reunited with the members of the PDP in Nasarawa local government area of the state where she hails from.
When contacted on phone, she confirmed her return to the PDP, a party she left when the state governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso decamped to the All Progressives Congress(APC) late last year alongside four other of his colleagues.
She told our correspondent that she left the state executive council and the APC following what she tagged as “constituency crises.”
“Yes it’s true that I have left APC and I have since returned to my former party, the PDP. Thank you,” she said in a reply to our correspondent’s enquiry.
Our correspondent reports that the commissioner returned to the PDP as result of the controversies trailing the forthcoming local government elections in the state slated for May 17th, this year.
When contacted, the interim chairman of APC in Kano, Engineer Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo said he would not comment on the development until the state governor who is abroad returns to the country.
