DSS BURSTS CAR-SNATCHING SYNDICATE IN ANAMBRA

The Department of State Services (DSS) in Anambra State has burst a car-snatching syndicate. Six suspects were arrested. They are Nworah Ibe, Levi kelechi Eze, Joseph Igboji, James Ukoh, Titus Okwudili Duruaku and Victor Ndubuisi.
State DSS Director Mr. Alex Okeiyi, while parading the suspects yesterday, said the suspects would be prosecuted.
Ukoh and Igboji (aka-onye-owa) are from Ebonyi State and were arrested at Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area.
Ibe, who is from Enugu State and Eze from Imo were traced to Lokoja in Kogi State by the DSS. They were caught while attempting to snatch a Honda Accord car from at Ajaokuta.
The others; Victor Ndubuisi and Titus Okwudili Duruaku were the buyers of the stolen Toyota highlander registered as Abuja BW851RSH and Honda Accord car registration as Anambra FGG 918 AG.
Okeiyi said the two vehicles were recovered by the state command, adding that car-snatching had been on the increase in the state.
The suspects yesterday confessed to the crime of car snatching and sale of the vehicles.
Nworah, who said he had been in the business since 2009, added that he had served time for his criminal activities.
Ukoh claimed he was linked to the business by Kelechi, who he lived with him not knowing he was a criminal.
Kelechi said he had sold two cars since he joined the business, adding that Ukoh and Igboji introduced him to the business.
