SOMALI GOVERNMENT BANS CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS IN THE COUNTRY

Somali government has banned to celebrate and commemorate the birth of Jesus in the country, Ministry of justice & religious Affairs said on Tuesday.
A statement from the Ministry said that it will not be allowed to mark the Christmas day in the country, because of the Islamic believe.
Islam is the national religion of Somalia and according to the country’s provisional constitution, Islam is the only religion allowed to practice.
The statement did not give further details on the issue.
Christmas is an annual holiday, celebrated generally on December 25 by billions of people around the world.
