The Federal Executive Council which usually holds on Wednesdays, appears to have been postponed.
As at 10am there was no sign of any minister coming into the council chambers of the Presidential Villa.
Though no official confirmation was given, protocol officers around and those at the media office confirmed that the FEC meeting has been shelved for today.
President Goodluck Jonathan arrived the country late Tuesday from his visit to the Holy Land and may be resting. The shelving of the meeting may not also be unconnected with the fact that the ministers who also went to the Holy Land may not have returned. However other events have been slated from 11am Wednesday.
The President had late last week Wednesday departed the country for Israel on pilgrimage as well as an official visit to Israel, where bilateral agreements between both countries were signed.
