Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday said that All Progressives Congress (APC) is unsettled and apprehensive following the increasing demand by the British parliamentarians for an enquiry into it links with the Boko Haram insurgency.
APC had called for intentional enquiry to unravel the sponsors of terrorism in the country.
PDP, in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, said it “finds it very curious that APC is calling for intentional enquiry into the activities of Boko Haram less than one week after an inquest into its links with insurgency was tabled before the British Parliament.”
The statement said: “Indeed, the APC statement betrays a party that has become unsettled and highly apprehensive following the increasing demand by the British parliamentarians for an enquiry into their links with the insurgency and violence ravaging our dear nation.
“We urge Nigerians to see beyond the surface, to continue to be alert and note the actions of the APC and their efforts to frustrate genuine fight against insurgency and terrorism in our country.”
