United Nations (UN) Secretary General, Ban ki-Moon, on Sunday, arrived Abuja for a two-day visit.
Upon arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Ban was received by permanent secretaries in charge of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Foreign Affairs, Mr Obinna Chukwu and Ambassador Bulus Lolo.
A cultural troupe was equally on hand to provide short entertainment for the UN scribe.
Among the dignitaries that arrived with him were Professor Babatunde Osotimehin, who is Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund.
From the airport, the scribe was expected at a meeting with the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.
He was yet to head for the meeting as at the time of filing this report.
From his itinerary, the UN scribe is to hold talks with President Muhammadu Buhari and will later lay a wreath to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the car bombing at the United Nations House.
Apart from meeting with captains of industry, he would later address a joint press conference with President Buhari before his departure.
