The caretaker Chariman of Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State, Alhaji Zannah Modu Gubio has pledged to give a brand new car to any student from the area who gets 9 credit in the on-going SSCE.
Gubio, who made the pledge in Gubio the headquarters of Gubio Local Government Area at a parley for the take off of students of GSS Gubio, said the council will shoulder the responsibility of their transportation to and from Maiduguri where they are going to write their final year examinations.
The chairman also promised to purchase Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination form for any student, who passed with 5 credits, including mathematics and English and that the council would sponsor the person in the university.
He then donated 140 mats, 140 buckets and 150 plastic kettles to the students and charged them to work hard to pass their exams and get the reward awaiting them.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Ali Garba thanked the chairman for the gesture and promised to justify it by working hard to win the awards promised by the chairman.
