One-time Aide de Camp (ADC) to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Moses Jitoboh, has denied reports that he was arrested by officials of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Family sources had claimed that EFCC officials arrested Jitoboh Sunday afternoon at the Presidential Villa, and that nothing had been heard of him since.
Also commenting on the issue, EFCC spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, told said there was no truth in the claim.
“It is not true. If indeed he was arrested, it may have been another agency, definitely not the EFCC,” said the spokesman.
Jitoboh said he was at the Presidential Villa on Sunday, but “left after about 30 minutes,” adding, “maybe that was where they picked the story.”
He blamed the inability to reach him on the telephone for confirmation on the recent changes he made on his telephone numbers.
