Aminu Bello Masari, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured that he would not steal the resources of the state if he emerges the governor of the state in 2015.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives made the pledge when he met with a cross section of Katsina professionals in Abuja at a forum called to unveil his agenda for the state if he emerges the state governor.
“Under our administration, I want to tell you, we would not deep our hands in Katsina SState resources and if we did that, you bark at us. I would not handle a contract, my son and my wife would not do contracts.
“During our time, I promise you that not less than 70 per cent of our resources will be going to Katsina people. I don’t need any 10 per cent, not even one per cent,” he said.
Revealing his agenda for the state, the APC candidate promised to ensure that education is properly financed and managed in Katsina if he emerges as the governor of the state in 2015.
The former Speaker noted that the high rate of drug addiction among the state indigenes, especially the youths is a result of poor education.
