The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase, has extended his warm greetings to all Muslim faithful in Nigeria while they join their fellow Muslims worldwide to celebrate Eid-el-fitri, which marks the end of Ramadan Fasting.
He assured that the Police High Command had put all measures in place to ensure hitch-free celebrations as IGP has ordered effective and extensive deployment of personnel, including movement of necessary logistics, to all nooks and crannies of the country.
He has equally mandated all Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and Command Commissioners of Police to ensure adequate security with standard operation procedures before, during and after the celebrations to secure key and vulnerable points, Eid praying grounds and other places of worship, including public places and recreation centres.
