Plateau State Governor, Jonathan David Jang has admonished the North to allow President Goodluck Jonathan complete his second tenure by voting him during Saturday’s election, while it prepares to take over in 2019.
He said the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mohammadu Buhari was ousted as Military Head of State for lack of credibility and poor performance, saying “If Buhari did not perform as Military Head of State, he will not do anything as a civilian President” and therefore lacks the credentials to represent the North.
Jang, who said this on Thursday during a Town Hall meeting in Pankshin and Mangu LGAs of the state, therefore urged the Plateau people to give their votes to President Jonathan and all PDP candidates in the Saturday polls. He said he was optimistic that with the available PVCs so far distributed, Plateau will deliver 1.8 million votes to the President, noting that the Town Hall meeting was geared towards curbing any hitches that will tamper with the block votes of the PDP in the next Saturday and April 11 polls.
Jang said, “We need a President that will consolidate on the improvement so far recorded in the power sector, we have the trains moving today and the corruption that has been so much in the Agricultural sector has been tackled; farmers now get fertiliser without hitches. So, the North should be patient and allow President Jonathan to finish his second tenure so that it can take over in 2019.”
