Juventus Sack Allegri After Italian Cup Triumph

Date:

Juventus have reportedly fired Massimiliano Allegri two days after the coach led the squad to the Italian Cup championship.

The Recorder reports that Dusan Vlahovic scored the first goal as the Turin team defeated Atalanta 1-0 in Rome.

Allegri was expelled after yelling at match officials and criticising the sporting director, which soured the festivities.

Since then, the disciplinary tribunal of the Italian Football Federation has begun looking into Allegri’s actions.

Allegri’s departure was formally announced by Juventus on their website on Friday.

“The club wishes Massimiliano Allegri good luck in his future endeavours.

“Juventus announces that it has relieved Massimiliano Allegri of his position as head coach of the men’s first team,” Juventus’ statement partly read.
