The newly appointed Minister of State for Petroleum, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, told Reuters, on Wednesday, that he would also continue in his role as the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) ‘for a while.’
He was appointed head of the NNPC at the beginning of August and became junior minister for oil on Wednesday under President Muhammadu Buhari, who will also continue as oil minister.
