Yeezy season approaches, Kanye West fans. The rapper has finally announced a release date for his long awaited album “Swish.”
“Swish February 11 16,” West tweeted Friday evening.
The announcement comes in conjunction with a new track he released Friday morning, “Real Friends.” A tweet by his wife, Kim Kardashian West, suggests that the new track signifies the reinstatement of “G.O.O.D. Fridays,” when ‘Ye dropped a new track every Friday leading up to the 2010 release of “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”
Friday was a big day for West fans. It was also announced that he’ll be headlining NYC’s Governors Ball Music Festival in June with the Strokes and the Killers. He previously headlined the Ball in 2013.
“Swish” will be West’s seventh studio album. His previous collection, “Yeezus,” debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. album chart, selling 327,000 units in its first week.
In December, West tweeted that he was hard at work on “Swish” and asked to be left alone so he could focus on it completely.
