KIDNAPPED VICTIM BEATS ABDUCTORS TO COMA IN DELTA

A pharmaceutical dealer in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government of Delta state on Tuesday fought and beat four kidnappers to a state of coma.
The victim, popularly known as Joe-White, regained his freedom after spending a night in the kidnappers’ den.
He was sandwiched away by four gunmen at the gate of his residence on Isah-Road within Ogwashi-Uku, a nearby town to Asaba, where the mother of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was kidnapped few months ago.

The Nigerian Compass gathered that the victim was held up immediately he alighted from his vehicle after which they compelled him to open the gate of his house before he was taken away in a motorcycle.
A source said the victim was taken to the kidnappers’ hide-out in an uncompleted building along Isho quarters of Ubulu-Uku, another nearby village to Ogwashi-Uku.
The victim however played on the intelligence of the hoodlums when three members of the gang went out to get food him food.
“The one that was assigned to keep watch over the victim yielded to the pleadings of the victim (medicine dealer), who unbind him to go and urinate. After he unbounded the victim, he (victim) immediately took his chance by attacking his kidnapper, he pounced on him, beat a hell out of the suspect, who despite serious struggle, was over-powered. Apparently realising the danger ahead, the suspected kidnapper took to his heels, leaving the victim to escape from the hostage place,” the source told.
The victim immediately took-cover in a nearby building, which incidentally belonged to a member of the community vigilante who led him to the police in Ubulu-Uku.
The police were on the trail of the suspected kidnappers.
Meanwhile, kidnapping spree in Ogwashi-Uku axis of the state has forced residents in the state-owned Polytechnic community to appeal to the local security outfits and the police to be proactive in dealing with the threat.
