Sources alleged that the owner of the
filling station, Mr. Oladapo Coker,
has impounded the aircraft, as he seeks for compensation over lost businesses.

One of the tyres of the aircraft burst on
Wednesday night as the owners were towing it to Badagry,
a suburb of Lagos where it will be used for educational
purposes.

When LEADERSHIP Weekend visited the Dapsey Filling Station yesterday
evening at 6.30pm, the aircraft was still parked at the station, but it was no
longer blocking the entrance of the outfit as vehicles were able to go in and
fill their tanks. Attempts to speak with the station owner or the manager did
not yield result as they were said to be unavailable.

Our correspondent spoke with some persons who
refused to give their names but claimed they are the engineers who have been
working on the aircraft.

According to one of them, they have been able to replace
the bust tyre but alleged that the owner of the filling station has impounded
the aircraft and demanded for a reimbursement of the income he had lost since
Thursday when the aircraft blocked the entrance of the filling station.

One of the engineers said, “It appears that
the aircraft might not be towed to its destination today, even though we have
replaced the burst tyre because the owner of the filling station is asking for
some payment before we can move the aircraft.”
