Former Niger Delta warlord, Alhaji Mujahid Asari- Dokubo, has threatened war on any governor that will succeed the Rivers State Gover¬nor, Chibuike Amaechi, if he failed to probe his ad¬ministration.
Asari-Dokubo stated this yesterday at town hall meet¬ing organized by Niger Del¬ta People Salvation Front (NDPSF) and Niger Delta People Volunteer Force (NDPVF), held in Port Har¬court, while fielding ques¬tions from journalists on corruption in the country.
He wondered why people should accuse President Goodluck Jonathan of in¬creasing corruption in the country, pointing out that the nation had over 800 governments, made up of 774 local government ar-eas, 36 states and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Asari-Dokubo ques¬tioned: “We have over 800 governments in Nigeria. There are 774 local govern¬ment areas, 36 states and Abuja. Is Jonathan govern¬ing all of them? Is there no corruption in Rivers State? Corruption is high in the states controlled by the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
The Niger Delta agita¬tor frowned at politicians castigating the president on corruption, stressing that failure of Governor Amae¬chi’s successor to probe him would be hellish.
