The Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State (CSCEO) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the Vice President (VP), Professor Yemi Osinbajo over allegged interference in Osun affairs and his attempt to shield the state governor, Rauf Aregbesola from possible probe.
The group said it has discovered clandestine plan by the Vice President, in Collaboration with all the governors on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party to block any attempt to investigate Aregbesola by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) CSCEO also alleged plan by the party to influence the sack of a serving Osun State High Court Judge, Justice Olamide Oloyede, from the bench by the National Judicial Council (NJC), describing it as part of the effort to shield Aregbesola from probe over the petition authored by the serving judge.
Addressing a press briefing over the weekend in Osogbo, the Chairman of CSCEO, Comrade Adeniyi Sulaiman urged the apex judicial body to disregard any petition sent against Justice Oloyede, noting that the judge did not commit any offence than being on the side of the people on the matter. Sulaiman stated that the conference was imperative to keep the public informed on the present situation in the state.
He called on all lovers of social justice worldwide to focus attention on Osun state, where alleged mismanagement of state resources has increased the level of poverty among the people. .

What they are still waiting for to commence investigation into the alleged financial impropriety of the State under Aregbesola. He said the coalition rejected the outcome of the State House of Assembly Panel, which heard Justice Oloyede’s petition, adding that the no case verdict delivered confirmed the group’s earlier prediction that the panel, mainly of APC extraction, would deny the judge justice and give clean bill of health to Aregbesola.
We are not disappointed by the House of Assembly panel outcome of the petition, as it has justified our earlier prediction of the panel reports and as well confirmed the opinion of the downtrodden people of the state that Osun Assembly is rubber stamp of Aregbesola, which can only bark but cannot bite.
We also use this medium to reject the panel recommendation that the state Judicial Service Commission and National Judicial Council (NJC) should sanction Justice Oloyede for no just cause than being on the side of the masses”.
