There was panic at Oshodi area of Lagos, on Thursday, as hoodlums suspected to be supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)and the All Progressives Congress (APC) clashed.
The Oshodi clash occurred less than 12 hours after a similar case occurred around Tafawa Balewa Square on the Island of the state.
The arrival of millitary men, however, prevented the Oshodi clash from snowballing into a full-blown crisis between the miscreants
The two groups, had on sighting military men, ran away and in the process, created chaos around Charly Boy Bus Stop, at Gbagada area.
Investigations by the Nigerian Tribune gathered that the clash might not be unconnected with the reported political rally, that was to be staged by a popular street urchin, who is a member of APC.
The street urchin had, some weeks ago, reportedly had a clash with a group of hoodlums, said to the loyal to PDP.
The clash started when some thugs, said to be working for PDP stormed Oshodi and shooting sporadically.
They met a stiff resistance from their counterparts from APC as heavy shooting pervaded the Railway Line and parts of the Agege Motor Road.
Efforts to get the reaction of the image maker in charge of the Lagos State police command, Kenneth Nwosu, on the matter proved abortive as calls to his mobile lines were not picked.
As of Thursday afternoon, soldiers were still seen at Oshodi, keeping peace and order in the area.
