The police in Lagos have announced the recovery of the late Cynthia Osokogu’s laptop which contained her nude pictures and those of other ladies who fell victims of the prime suspects in the murder of the retired General’s daughter.
A post graduate student of Nasarawa state University, Cynthia was lured to Lagos by friends she met on the internet. She was lodged in a hotel in Festac area of Lagos where she was drugged, raped and killed in July this year.
The police arrested her suspected killers identified as Chidera Ezike and Echezona Nwabufor Okwuoma. Policemen attached to Area ‘E’ Commander led by the Area Commander, ACP Dan Okoro made the arrest.
According to the police, the whole episode of how the late Cynthia was drugged, raped and strangled was recorded on her laptop.
Her white Blackberry Bold 59100 was also recovered from a Port Harcourt-based businessman who allegedly bought it from someone in Lagos.
The police said the phone was sold to the buyer for N68,000.
According to the police, a brother to Chidera Ezike, Nonso Ezike bought all phones stolen by the two suspects.
The police invited the businessman to Lagos who identified Nonso as the one who sold the phone to him.
Nonso who is a graduate of a Nigerian univesity awaiting his call up for the NYSC was also a phone dealer at Ladipo market, Mushin, Lagos.
Another suspect arrested was Gideon Okechuckwu who is a driver to the suspects.
ACP Okoro said the police made use of electronic gadgets to arrest the suspects.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, confirmed the arrest of the suspects, adding that investigation into the murder continues while the police were still trailing more suspects.
He said the suspects will be arraigned in court soon.
