Adopting a report of its com-mittee on interior, the House how-ever retained the Comptroller-Gene-rals of the Nigeria Immigration Ser-vice, Nigeria Customs Service and Nigeria Prisons as part of those to be issued diplomatic passport. The report is a product of an amendment to the Passport Miscellaneous Act, 2004 by the committee.
Chairman of the committee Rep Umar Bature ( PDP, Sokoto), while presenting the report informed the House that the amendment was aimed at clearly defining persons eligible for the issuance of diplomatic and official passport.
