the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones, was addressed by the acting
National Chairman of the party, Mr. Maxi Okwu, and Governor Peter Obi of
Anambra State.

Obi said though the party was not opposed to the merger of
political parties, APGA would not merge with any other political party or
association but would rather continue to support President Goodluck Jonathan.

The high point of the rally was the reception of a prominent
member of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Mr. Dozie Nwankwo, who was Ekwunife’s
opponent in the last general election for the Anaocha/Njikoka/ Dunukofia
Federal Constituency, and a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party,
Mr. Emma Nkwocha, who came in with their supporters.

In a four-point resolution read out by Obi, he said APGA
remained committed to the ideals of Ojukwu, which led to the formation and
founding of the party.

The resolution, which signed by Okwu and read by Obi said,
