Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Wizkid, has broken his silence on why fashion giant Puma opted to partner with rival musician Davido instead of him.
In a heated online exchange on Wednesday, Wizkid claimed that Puma couldn’t afford his fees, forcing them to settle for Davido.
Wizkid’s response came after an online user, Nelson Epega, accused him of being jealous and frustrated over Davido’s new deal with Puma.
Taking to social media, Wizkid wrote: “I turned down Puma because they couldn’t afford me… Don’t need that! Way bigger than every artiste you mentioned!”
He further clarified that Puma’s budget for Africa wasn’t sufficient for him, but suitable for Davido.
This revelation fuels the ongoing supremacy battle between Wizkid and Davido, with fans eagerly following the drama.
