Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, yesterday said All Progressives Congress (APC) is an invention of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Lamido said APC is a collection of entrepreneurs.
The governor also reiterated his commitment to remain in PDP in spite of the challenges facing the party.
“I will remain a loyal member of the PDP. Other parties are association of entrepreneurs.”
Lamido spoke yesterday in Dutse, the state capital, when he hosted a delegation of the PDP performance publicity tour team led by PDP spokesperson, Olisa Metuh.
The governor, a founding member of PDP, however warned stakeholders of the party not to diminish the PDP to a small party.
“Thirteen years ago where were these people. We will not allow anybody to take away our finished product.”
Lamido, while justifying the strength of the PDP, emphasized that if the defection that took place in the PDP occurred in the APC, the party, according to him, would have collapsed.
“Take away people who left the PDP from the APC, you will have nothing left in the APC.”
He maintained that APC bigwigs are PDP inventors, citing former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, as one the inventors.
“How can our own invention now fight us?”
The PDP, according to the governor, was formed to transform and give hope to the people, he however stressed that he will not fight a war for the opposition.
“I will fight my own war in PDP. I cannot fight war for the opposition. Let them fight their own war.
“I have been maligned, I have been harassed, but I remain in PDP.”
He noted that the PDP has remained constant, adding that other parties have frequently changed nomenclature.
Leader of the delegation and PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, told the governor that the team is impressed with the achievement recorded by his administration.
