Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State said at the weekend that his party, All Progressives Congress (APC) would sweep the 2015 polls in all the states of the federation.
He spoke at reception organized in his honour by The Mandate Movement-led by a former Lagos Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Muiz Banire in conjunction with Oranmiyan Group in Lagos.
Aregbesola stated his confidence that Nigerians would no longer vote for Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidates, especially at the centre in the next general elections having been allegedly disappointed by the party since independence.
The event, which was organized in his honour as the winner of 2013 Man of The Year award by Daily Independence Newspaper, was graced by chieftains of All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his address to his supporters, Aregbesola explained that since independence that the party at the centre had always had power as its slogan as it metamorphosed into PDP lately, but had been helping only those at the corridor of power with their offices while they leave the people who voted them into office in wretched situations.
Lamenting inability of the Federal government to pay civil servants salaries regularly, he observed that Nigerians had learnt their lessons in the several years of fruitless administration of the PDP, saying the states APC is ruling are getting the expected dividends of democracy.
The Osun governor asked Nigerians to go into the archives and see how the PDP mismanaged the South West states the allegedly corruptly took over in 2003 till when they were rescued by the APC later.
