President Buhari on Tuesday received Anambra State Governor Willie Maduabuchukwu Obiano at the State House in Abuja, assuring him that the federal and state governments would work together to ensure free and fair elections next month.
Mr. Obiano is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).]
“Today I received Governor Obiano at the State House. The federal and state governments will work together to ensure free and fair elections next month,” Mr. Buhari said after the meeting.
Mr. Obiano was elected governor on November 16, 2013. He was sworn into office on March 17, 2014 after the expiration of Peter Obi’s second term.
