In an apparent response to Kano state Governor’s “regret over voting for Preisdent Goodluck Jonathan”, the president has alleged that governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso refused to give Kano delegates refreshment monies budgeted for them during the presidential election asking how can such a person claim that he voted for him.
The preisdent, who was speaking at the grand reception for Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau in Kano attended by PDP chieftains from across the country , asked why Kwankwaso didn’t stand by him when the New PDP staged a walkout during the PDP convention at the Eagle Square last year.
In the reception televised live by the Nigerian Television Authority, monitored in Abuja, President Goodluck Jonathan also accused Kwankwaso of campaigning to the Kano people that the President’s bowler hat is devilish adding that his government has assisted more farmers in kano state than any other state of the Federation with 716,000 farmers getting free and subsidised inputs in Growth Enhancement Support Scheme (GES) in the last tow years.
The preisident, whose English speech was translated in Hausa, also asked Kwankwaso to tell the world what has been done with the 255 billion naira collected by Kano state local governments from June 2011 till date.
The reception was attended by Vice President Namadi Sambo, PDP National Chairman, Ahmed Mua’zu among others.
