THE Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 12 persons who assembled in a hotel on the outskirts of the state for alleged wedding of two suspected homosexuals, which is contrary to the law of the country.
The suspected homosexuals, according to report, had converged at a location in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area for the alleged wedding.
However, the Hisbah officials stormed the venue and arrested the bride along with 11 others while the groom escaped.
While parading the suspects, the Hisbah Commandant General, Sheik Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, said the homosexuals invited their colleagues to the ceremony from across the country through the social media.
He noted that the law of the country does not allow such a barbaric attitude.
He, however, disclosed that the body would invite the parents of the suspected gays in order to educate them on the dangers of such act.
