We Are One Family – Tinubu Tells South-East

Date:

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to unity and peace in the South-East region of Nigeria.

During an interactive session with South-East leaders in Enugu on Saturday, Tinubu emphasized that all Nigerians are part of “one huge family” and pledged to foster national development to meet both present and future needs.

“I don’t care which party you come from; you are my friend. Alex Otti of Abia State is doing very well. It’s not about differences in language or place of birth. We are all members of one huge family called Nigeria, living in different rooms of the same house,” Tinubu stated.

The President also announced key development plans for the region, including:

Completing the Eastern Rail Line connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri.

Advancing the development of the Anambra Basin, which holds an estimated 1 billion barrels of oil and 30 billion cubic feet of gas.

Expanding investment in gas infrastructure as a sustainable energy source.

Tinubu expressed optimism about working with South-East governors to implement these initiatives effectively.
