Tinubu Aware Nigerians Are Suffering; He Moves Around FCT With One Or Two Cars At Night –Orji Kalu

Date:

The Senator representing Abia North in the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu is aware of the suffering and hardship faced by Nigerians and he is working to ensure Nigerians enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The Senator, who was responding to questions on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, dismissed the belief that the president is oblivious to the sufferings of Nigerians, saying the president sometimes moves around in his car at night.

“The President is aware Nigerians are hungry, he knows Nigerians are suffering; he is a street person, he knows the street very well, he visits the FCT, he is not a president that is locked up in a room, whether kidnapping or not, he moves around in his car at night, he is very courageous,” Senator Orji Kalu said.

on his strained relationship with President Tinubu, Kalu noted that he never had any issues with the president, he recalled how he jettisoned his Senate President leadership ambition on the request of President Bola Tinubu but u=insisted he voted for ex-Zamfara governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari against the preferred and anointed choice of Tinubu in Godswill Akpabio who he eventually won.

‘I never quarrelled with the president, he asked me not to contest and I didn’t contest but I voted for Yari and I don’t regret voting for him,” Orji Kalu said.
